2 Bangladeshi World Champion teams participate in the NASA program

Two world champion teams from Bangladesh participated in the NASA Space Apps Challenge program.

On 15th and 16th March 2023, Team Olik (2018) and Team Mohakash (2021) represented their country at the NASA headquarters in Washington DC, USA.

Back in 2018, Team Olik, hailing from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), won the ‘Lunar VR Project’ Best Use of Data category by developing a virtual application that simulates a journey to the moon.

In 2021, Team Mohakash, a collaboration between Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET), became the World Champion in the NASA Best Mission Concept category.

The Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), along with BASIS Students Forum, annually organize the NASA Space Apps Challenge program in Bangladesh.
