Final Episode of r-ventures 3.0

The semi-final round of r-ventures 3.0 is over. r-ventures are the flagship digital entrepreneurship platform of private mobile operator Robi.

Now its third phase is being completed. At the end of various stages, the best 11 ideas have been selected in the semi-finals, the grand finale is going to start with these startups.

A part of r-ventures Private Equity Fund. It is an alternative investment fund sponsored by Robi’s wholly owned ICT subsidiary, Reddit Digital Limited and BSEC approved.

According to related sources, Reddit Digital Limited will invest up to 25 lakh rupees in selected startups.

In addition, ventures will also be linked to a pool of other investors to raise funds. Participants will receive mentorship and grooming support as part of r-ventures team throughout the journey.

The top 25 proposals were selected from around 120 proposals for the semi-final round of r ventures 3.0. 40% of the selected proposals are women entrepreneurs.

The semi-finalists attended a training session organized by Robi and SBK Tech Ventures at Robi’s corporate office on February 7 and 9.

After the training, the teams presented their proposals to the judges. Among the shortlisted proposals were IoT solutions for the enterprise sector, solutions to measure the impact of the enterprise sector on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), sector creation for legal services, healthcare solutions for senior citizens, women’s safety, hygiene, healthcare, financial and Wellness Solutions, FinTech Solutions for Women Micro Entrepreneurs, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions for the SME Sector, Solutions for Recycling Facilities, Farm to Table Digital Platforms, Marketplaces for Apparel Traders, Solutions for Migrant Workers.

A special team of industry experts provided startup training to the 25 competing teams for the semi-final round. After the training, the semi-final teams presented their ideas to the jury.

In the semi-final, the jury panel consisted of Shihab Ahmed, Chief Commercial Officer of Robi, Sonia Bashir Kabir, Founder and Managing Director of SBK Tech Ventures, Haseeb Mustabsir, Chief Executive Officer of Reddit Digital and Mujtanibul Ahmed, Head of Digital Financial, City Bank.

The jury selected the proposals based on their uniqueness, effectiveness, business model, structure of the company submitting the proposal, use of technology, financial analysis and implementation plan.

The grand finale of this competition will be held on Sunday. The teams selected for the final round are ‘Drishti’ from Assistive Technology, ‘DG Shop Limited’ from E-Commerce & Retail, ‘Fabric Lagbe Limited’ from Garment Tech, ‘Jama & Account Plus’ from FinTech, ‘Mile’ from GreenTech or Mobility, ‘ANTT Robotics’ from Software and Technology, ‘Your-Campus’ from Consumer Services, ‘Recycle Jar Ecosystem’ from Circular Economy or Cleantech, ‘Ukil’ from Legal Tech and ‘Relaxy Limited’ from Health Tech Industry.
