Nagad was launched on March 26th, 2019, through a groundbreaking partnership between the Bangladesh Post Office, an innovative institution with a century-long financial authority, and the Honorable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The mission was clear: to offer a comprehensive and ever-evolving digital financial service to the people and small businesses of the country.

In a remarkably short span of time, Nagad has achieved impressive milestones. With 5.85 crore customers, 2.40 lakh Uddokta (entrepreneurs), and daily transactions amounting to BDT 700 crores, Nagad has set a high bar. Moreover, the revolutionary innovation of opening a Nagad Account simply by dialing *167# has made it easy for customers, even those using feature phones, to access the services.
