Walton Experiences Significant Surge in Fridge Sales Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha

As the country gears up for Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival for Muslims, demands and sales of fridges have seen a remarkable surge nationwide, signaling the enthusiasm of customers preparing for the occasion on June 29.

Consistently preferred by customers, Walton brand fridges have once again taken the lead in consumer preferences. On the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, locally known as Qurbani Eid, customers have flocked to Walton outlets, eager to purchase their desired refrigerators and freezers, as mentioned in a recent media release by the organization.

Walton Plaza managers, distributors, and zonal in-charges from various regions across the country, including Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Bagerhat, Bogura, Sylhet, Feni, Narsingdi, and more, have reported a sales bonanza of fridges in their respective outlets.

Over 250 models of frost and non-frost refrigerators and freezers are currently available in the market, with prices set to accommodate the buying capacity of all income groups.

In anticipation of the upcoming Eid, Walton has launched more than 50 new models of refrigerators featuring the latest global technology, such as inverters, advanced features, and doors, with a focus on energy efficiency.

Customers can rely on Walton’s extensive after-sales service network, which is the largest in the country, ensuring swift and excellent support. Consequently, the majority of customers have placed their trust in Walton fridges for this year’s Eid celebrations.

Since May 15, Walton has been conducting its digital campaign season-18 nationwide. During this season, buyers have the opportunity to receive numerous gifts, including free cars, upon purchasing fridges, TVs, air conditioners, or washing machines from any Walton Plaza, distributor showroom, or the online sales platform, e-plaza. This offer will continue until July 15.

As of now, four customers from Brahmanbaria, Naogaon, Jessore, and Narayanganj have already received free cars during this season, while many others have received various types of free products.

Tofail Ahmed, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Walton Refrigerators, expressed optimism about this year’s fridge sales, citing favorable factors such as political stability, intense summer heat, absence of floods, and the waning impact of the COVID-19 pandemic compared to the previous year.

Ahmed highlighted the sales bonanza of fridges in Walton outlets, with more than a 10 percent increase in sales compared to the previous occasion. Moreover, Walton has already achieved approximately 65 percent of its annual refrigerator sales target.

During this Eid-ul-Azha, Walton offers over 250 models of frost and non-frost refrigerators and freezers, ranging from 50 liters to 646 liters in capacity. The lineup includes more than 50 new models featuring advanced features, doors, and the highest 5-star energy rating certified frost and non-frost fridges, endorsed by BSTI. Additionally, Walton brand offers 22 models of freezers for this Qurbani Eid.

Buyers can choose from a price range of Tk 17,000 to Tk 1,55,000 for these Walton fridges.

New surprises from Walton this year include a 325-liter vertical freezer, a 255-liter convertible freezer that can transform into a normal fridge when needed, and the world’s first 8-in-1 convertible refrigerator with capacities of 646 liters and 619 liters. These convertible models from the Gianttech series allow customers to adjust the cooling performance of the fridge and freezer compartments, resulting in lower electricity consumption.

Customers purchasing Walton fridges enjoy a one-year replacement warranty, a 12-year compressor guarantee, and five years of free after-sales service.
