Startup Bangladesh Invests Tk 5 Crore in Bongo

Startup Bangladesh Limited, a pioneering venture capital company under the ICT Division, has announced a strategic investment in Bongo, one of Bangladesh’s leading digital entertainment platforms.

This collaborative effort aims to enhance the landscape of online entertainment and content consumption in the country. The two entities signed an agreement for an investment of Tk 5 crore in support of Bongo’s growth and expansion plans.

The signing ceremony, held in Dhaka, saw the presence of State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Md. Shamsul Arefin, Chaiarman of the Board of Directors of Startup Bangladesh and Senior Secretary of ICT Division, Sami Ahmed, Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh, and representatives from Bongo.

The State Minister highlighted that the partnership with Bongo reflects Startup Bangladesh’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting local startups that cater to the diverse needs of the population. He expressed excitement about contributing to the success of homegrown solutions and Bongo’s alignment with the vision of a Smart Bangladesh.

Md Shamsul Arefin, Secretary of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, stated that the collaboration marks a transformative journey focused on innovation and collaboration.
