Walton, an electronics brand from Bangladesh, has stepped into the Indian market by launching its own refrigerator business in the country. Although Walton has been exporting various electrical and electronics products, including fridges, TVs, and washing machines to India as an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), this marks the company’s debut with its own branded fridges in the Indian market.
The company has initiated the sales and marketing of its branded fridges in approximately 300 outlets across different regions in India, with plans to expand to more outlets gradually. Alongside refrigerators, Walton aims to introduce a range of products, including air conditioners, televisions, washing machines, and other electrical appliances, all proudly labeled as ‘Made in Bangladesh’.
Tofail Ahmed, Chief Business Officer of Walton Refrigerator, highlighted Walton’s leading position in the Bangladeshi market and its aspiration to establish a robust presence globally. This expansion into India’s vast market is a strategic move to replicate Walton’s success achieved in Bangladesh on an international scale.

Abdur Rauf, Vice-President of Walton Global Business Section, acknowledged India’s substantial market demand, particularly for refrigerators, and the immense potential it presents for Bangladesh’s export sector. In line with the aim of replicating its Bangladeshi success, Walton has developed a proficient marketing team and plans to undertake extensive branding activities in India.
