Green Delta Insurance and Nagad have entered into a landmark agreement to streamline insurance services. The strategic partnership, signed by Syed Moinuddin Ahmed, additional managing director of Green Delta Insurance, and Maruful Islam Jhalak, executive director of Nagad, sets a precedent in the general insurance sector.
The signing ceremony took place at Green Delta’s headquarters in Dhaka, as stated in a press release. This collaboration between a mobile financial service (MFS) provider and a non-life insurer is unprecedented in Bangladesh. Its primary goal is to improve the accessibility and affordability of insurance services for millions of Bangladeshi retail customers.
Syed Moinuddin Ahmed expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential to propel the insurance industry forward, stating, “This agreement will play a significant role in expanding access to insurance services for the populace.”

Maruful Islam Jhalak emphasized the convenience this collaboration brings, noting, “This agreement enables individuals to easily pay insurance premiums through Nagad, contributing to the country’s advancement towards digitalization.”
The ceremony was attended by Md Moniruzzaman Khan, head of digital business at Green Delta Insurance, Syed Aliul Ahbab, finance controller, Md Bayezid, head of financial institutions commercial at Nagad, and other officials from both organizations.
