PRAN-RFL Group, renowned for spearheading the nation’s agro-processing industry, is poised to establish yet another industrial park in Natore.
This new initiative by the group aims to set up noodles, spices, mustard oil, and fish processing plants in Natore, with the goal of generating job opportunities for approximately 1,000 individuals. The endeavor was reported by BSS.
Presently, PRAN engages around 13,000 contract farmers in Natore for the production of mangoes, tomatoes, pulses, peanuts, chilies, and milk. Looking ahead, PRAN intends to expand its contract farming to include additional products such as chinigura rice, turmeric, and cassava, thereby connecting an additional 5,000 contract farmers from the district, as stated in a press release.
During a discussion session with local journalists commemorating the twenty-fourth anniversary of PRAN Agro Limited’s factory in Natore, Kamruzzaman Kamal, Marketing Director at PRAN-RFL Group, shared these plans.

Since its establishment in 2000, PRAN’s presence in Natore has significantly impacted the socio-economic landscape of the region. The group has invested approximately Tk 1,500 crore in Natore thus far, providing livelihood opportunities for about 22,000 individuals through direct and indirect employment in various activities such as production, seasonal work, and product supply.
PRAN Agro Limited’s factory in Natore manufactures a wide range of products including spices, mustard oil, vermicelli, sauce, jelly, pickles, noodles, mayonnaise, chocolates, and chips.
Kamal highlighted that PRAN not only manufactures products in Natore but also sources a significant portion of its agricultural raw materials from Natore and neighboring districts. In the fiscal year 2022-23, PRAN procured agricultural raw materials worth approximately Tk 1,500 crore from contract farmers in Natore.

Hazrat Ali, General Manager at PRAN Agro Limited’s factory, emphasized PRAN-RFL’s commitment to various activities such as road construction, scholarships for students, and tree plantation initiatives in the factory’s vicinity. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a public school in the district soon.
