Job Responsibilities:
- Set long-term strategic direction for the category and brand by clear inspiring visions and brand essence.
- Lead for a detailed understanding of brand performance in the market and lead the portfolio through integrated business planning, and development of the brand strategy, aligning cross-functional stakeholders and within marketing to deliver the brand /portfolio ambition.
- Generate compelling consumer insights to develop winning brand strategies against the competition.
- Manage innovation (or renovation) based on consumer insights that includes identifying opportunities, product conceptualization, planning and implementing launch followed by post evaluation.
- Propose, control and reconcile budgets for the brand.
- Keep eye on the key competitors and market scenario; Media/ Promo/ In-store/ Channels and plan the respective brand strategy to defend and drive the brand to champion.
- Develop optimum pricing strategy and trade activities by monitoring retail price changes and trade marketing by competitors on a regular basis.
- Monitor and analyze category performance including competitive benchmarking.
- Propose optimal budgets for category & brands and ensure all investments is properly reviewed and evaluated.
- To champion brand growth for designed category and correct application of brand positioning and communication for a consistent brand messaging.
- Lead in the development of brand strategies, resulting in formulation of brand plans (ATL & BTL activities, internet marketing, product, pricing, distribution, etc)
- Liaise with external associates; creative agency, media agency, activation agency and PR agencies etc. for brand activities.
- Achieve agreed brand plans on a timely and effective manner for optimal results, including pre & post evaluation of all key campaigns.
- To drive brand health and volume on time delivery of New Product Development projects.
- Responsible for adherence to company principles and policies.
Key Measurement Index:
- Achievement of the target & implementation of budget set in yearly marketing/ brand plan.
- Overall profitability of assigned brand vis-à-vis target set.
- Other performance indicators ranging from market shares, share of voice, brand awareness etc.
- Prudent cost management ranging from product costing and support programs.
- Timely execution of various marketing support programs, communications campaigns as per plan.
- Creative input of all packaging, advertising & promotions concepts.
- Proactive input in business related areas especially in nature of problem solving.
- Ability to work, motivate, instill, propagate nature of teamwork, positive and productive spirit
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor in Business Management degree preferably in Marketing or an equal professional qualification.
Experience Required
- At least 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in Manufacturing (FMCG), Wholesale, Retail Store, Group of Companies, Watch
- Minimum 8 year of experience in Brand Management/ Marketing at MNC, large local company in FMCH industry
- High level of exposure in brand marketing culture with in-depth knowledge of brand management tools and processes.
