HATIL has signed an agreement with Green Savers to launch the “Green Initiative” campaign aimed at nurturing nature for a better future.
Selim H Rahman, chairman and managing director of HATIL, and Ahsan Rony, founder of Green Savers, formalized the deal at HATIL’s head office in Dhaka, as per a press release.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness and actively contribute to environmental sustainability through tree plantation activities. This initiative aims to instill a culture of environmental responsibility amid the rising threat of climate change and deforestation in Bangladesh, where only 15 percent of the land is forest-covered.

To amplify the campaign’s impact, HATIL will give a tree to customers for every piece of furniture purchased from its Dhaka showrooms, with Green Savers planting the trees on their behalf. This initiative aligns with HATIL’s long-term vision of integrating sustainability into its operations.
Furthermore, HATIL sources its wood from responsibly-managed forests abroad and implements sustainable practices such as sourcing wood from FSC-certified companies, effective waste management, and generating renewable energy in its manufacturing processes.
