Received the Changemaker Award for the best student for helping to achieve the UN SDG

Fairuz Faiza Bithar, a 4th year student of Business Administration Discipline of Khulna University and co-founder of ‘School of Mind’, has received the ‘Goalkeepers Global Goal Changemaker Award-2021’ for being the first Bangladeshi to work on mental health. She received the award from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. After receiving the award, the matter was reported on the Facebook page of ‘School of Mind’ on Tuesday. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation awards individuals in three categories who are taking steps to help achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This is the first time a Bangladeshi girl has received this changemaker award.

Inspired by Change, Faiza Bitter continues to work tirelessly for personal well-being and the well-being of the people (helping to achieve SDG’s No. 3 goal) through personal experience and leadership. He has been awarded this honor in recognition of his work. Fairuz is the co-founder of an online platform called School of the Mind. This organization continues to work to increase mental health awareness. Ensuring equality of psychiatric treatment across the country is also a significant part of their work.

Meanwhile, 4th year student of Khulna University’s Business Administration Discipline, Fairuz Faiza Bitter, received the ‘Goalkeepers Global Goal Changemaker Award-2021’ and congratulated the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahmud Hossain. In a congratulatory message, he wished her continued success and hoped that the reputation of Khulna University would grow in the future as well.

It may be mentioned that Fairuz Faiza Bithar is the daughter of Shahid Iqbal Bithar, former councilor of ward 24 of Khulna City Corporation and Professor Runu Bithar, chairman of Khulna branch of National Women’s Organization and former councilor of the same ward.
