Berger Paints Bangladesh partners with ABB Cellier to Automate New Factory in Mirsarai

Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited has entered into an agreement with France-based technology company ABB Cellier to establish an advanced automated production facility at its third factory, located in the Mirsarai Economic Zone, Chattogram.

The signing ceremony took place at Berger’s head office in Dhaka, where Rupali Haque Chowdhury, Managing Director of Berger Paints, and Pierre Leretz, Senior Vice-President and Global Manager of Blending at ABB Cellier, formalized the deal.

“This is more than just new equipment,” said Leretz. “We’re involved in every phase, from concept to design, ensuring the facility enhances Berger’s efficiency, innovation, and sustainability.”

Rupali Chowdhury expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, calling it “an exciting chapter” for Berger as it adopts advanced technology to boost productivity and sustainability.

In addition to creating jobs and attracting further investment, ABB Cellier will also act as a process design consultant to ensure alignment with Berger’s long-term vision. The new factory will feature state-of-the-art automation technology, powders and chemicals handling solutions, and innovative liquid processing systems, all aimed at improving product quality and efficiency.

Key figures such as Md Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, Chief Operating Officer, Sazzad Rahim Chowdhury, Group CFO, and Jean Vandevelde, Business Process Automation Manager, were also present at the event.
