The prize distribution ceremony for the ‘Ispahani 4th Bangladesh Open Squash 2024’ was held at the Army Squash and Tennis Complex in Dhaka Cantonment. Organized for the fourth time under the sponsorship of Ispahani, this prestigious event is the largest squash tournament in Bangladesh, hosted by the Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation.
The tournament saw the participation of renowned male and female squash players from both Bangladesh and abroad. It featured three competitions, including two international tournaments and one national tournament. Since its inception in 2021, Ispahani has been the title sponsor of this significant event.

From October 1 to 4, 2024, Bangladesh successfully hosted another PSA Challenge Tour-3 event as part of the tournament. The PSA (Professional Squash Association) is the global governing body for professional squash. This year, top players from Bangladesh competed against athletes from India, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. In addition, the women’s ‘Satellite Tour’ featured six of Bangladesh’s top female squash players, who competed against professional player Yehini Kuruppu from Sri Lanka.
In the thrilling final match of the PSA ‘Challenge Tour-3’, Sri Lanka’s Rabindra Laksiri emerged as the champion, while Kuwait’s Alta Mimi secured the runner-up position. Meanwhile, in the women’s ‘Satellite Tour,’ Sri Lanka’s Yehini Kuruppu claimed the championship title, with Bangladesh’s Marjan Monika finishing as runner-up.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh Army, Lt. Gen. Mizanur Rahman Shamim, as the chief guest. Mirza Salman Ispahani, Vice President of Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation and Chairman of Ispahani Group, attended as the special guest. Other dignitaries present included Federation General Secretary Brigadier General GM Kamrul Islam (Retd.), along with officials from the Federation and Ispahani Group, invited guests, journalists, and both local and international squash players.

In his welcome speech, Mirza Salman Ispahani expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the successful organization of the tournament and thanked the sponsors for their continued support.
