China’s Hisense International has officially entered the Bangladeshi market by partnering with Fair Electronics to launch the new brand ‘Hisense Bangladesh.’
This collaboration is expected to boost the country’s manufacturing sector, create employment opportunities, and develop a more skilled workforce.
The launch event, held on Monday in the capital, featured Commerce Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin as the chief guest and Hisense International President Catherine Fang as a special guest. Other notable speakers included BSTI Director General SM Ferdous Alam and Fair Group Chairman Ruhul Amin Al Mahbub.

Commerce Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin emphasized that this partnership will accelerate economic growth and create jobs, aligning with the country’s broader development goals. He assured Hisense of government support to facilitate their business ventures.
Fair Group Chairman Ruhul Amin Al Mahbub highlighted the immense potential of the Bangladeshi electronics market, citing the country’s young population and growing demand. He announced plans for a new factory and a training initiative with ADB to enhance local workforce skills.
