Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), a leading private financial institution in Bangladesh, has unveiled the groundbreaking ‘EBL Freelancer Ambassador Programme‘ to support and inspire the nation’s growing freelance community. The initiative aims to foster financial inclusion and accelerate economic progress.
The program was formally inaugurated at EBL’s head office by Md Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Mitchel Lee, Chargé d’affaires of the Singapore High Commission, and Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO of EBL.

The event highlighted the journeys of four ambassadors—Anik Mahmud, Tanvir Suruj, Junaid Aman Junu, and Farjuk Ahmed—who shared their inspiring success stories and pledged to mentor emerging freelancers.
This program builds on EBL’s 2022 launch of the Freelancer Suite, offering features like dual-currency accounts, international debit cards, and instant currency conversion via the EBL SKYBANKING app.
