BRAC is seeking an individual who will be involved in strategically developing, implementing, and monitoring the Country Seed Marketing Plan for BRAC Seed and Agro Enterprise, ensuring alignment with overall crop strategies and sales forecasts. This role is crucial in driving business objectives for all seed and agro-related products and services, fostering market growth, and contributing to the sustained success of the enterprise.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a strong marketing team, extend support to develop policies and procedures, and add value to business growth;
- Lead, monitor, and evaluate marketing strategies, long-term projections, and business plans for products based on volume and value, as well as the company’s financial objectives within the planning horizon;
- Use creativity as well as a strong marketing skills base to come up with unique but sound proposals to develop relationships and business with large, influential customers.
- Support the sales team to achieve a satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends;
- Promote and establish the brand for the market and prepare and implement the country plan: brand promotion of the product, national & international seed fairs, customer and dealer meetings, etc. ;
- The individual is responsible for planning and supervising advertising and promotion activities, which encompass print, online, electronic media, and direct communications;
- Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets;
- Actively support key field marketing activities and design and plan new variety launch events together with crop marketing specialists. The individual oversees the development of the market channel and works closely with the sales team to establish sales territories, quotas, and goals;
- Consult with the legal department in the country to ensure that all our promotional materials and activities comply with local laws and regulations;
- Collect, interpret, and translate country-specific market & competitor intel into planning (analysis, follow-up). The individual is responsible for overseeing and evaluating market research, as well as adjusting the marketing strategy to meet evolving market and competitive conditions;
- Develop pricing strategies, establish price fixation, conduct cost analysis, and improve profitability according to the plan and company standards. The team develops and recommends product positioning and packaging strategies to achieve the highest possible long-term market share;
- Maintain liaison with R&D for developing, screening, and selecting suitable new variety as per changing market dynamics and production team;
- Represent, contact and develop cooperation with the seed industry association on behalf of company as local and international organization as when necessary;
- Fill up portfolio gaps through strategic alliances from internal or suitable external sources. Directs training & development and performance evaluations to develop and control marketing programs;
- Frequent field visits are mandatory to follow up the marketing activities.
Safeguarding responsibilities:
- Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported, and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Educational requirements:
The candidate should have an MBA/MSc in Marketing/ Agriculture/ Zoology, Botany from a reputed university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or 2nd class/ division or equivalent result in all academic examinations
Experience requirements:
- At least 10 years
Additional Requirements:
- Education, Age, and Experience will be relaxed for the potential Candidates
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience will be given preference
- They will prioritize individuals who possess significant proficiency in developing and implementing rural marketing strategies. This involves not only the development and management of innovative campaigns for rural products and services but also a deep understanding of the unique dynamics and consumer behaviors within rural markets in order to achieve business objectives.
