Walton Micro-Tech Corporation has launched seven new models of Graviton series car batteries, suitable for private cars, microbuses, pickup vans, and auto-rickshaws (CNG). Manufactured to Japanese standards, these sealed maintenance-free Walton car batteries use advanced technology to ensure high performance and give drivers the power to keep moving safely and uninterrupted on the road.

The new models were officially launched at a grand ceremony on Saturday, 5 July 2025, at Walton’s corporate office in Bashundhara, Dhaka. The event was attended by popular musician Tahsan Khan; S M Mahbubul Alam, Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC; Jakiya Sultana, Director; and Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walton Micro-Tech Corporation.

Other senior officials from the company, along with over a hundred Walton battery dealers and distributors, were also present.

The newly launched Graviton car battery models include:
Graviton N50Z, Graviton N50ZL, Graviton NS40ZL, Graviton NS60L, Graviton NS70, Graviton AX120-7, and Graviton NX120-7L. These premium category car batteries are priced between Tk 8,650 and Tk 15,600, and are available at Walton distributor and dealer showrooms nationwide.

At the event, S M Mahbubul Alam shared, “Walton is not just a name anymore; it is a national brand and a symbol of successful ‘Made in Bangladesh’. From smart electronics to mobile phones and laptops, Walton is now the pride of the country. By launching these sealed maintenance-free (SMF) car batteries made in our own factories, Walton adds another glorious chapter to its journey. This also reflects our manufacturing capabilities, research strength, and commitment to our customers.”

He added that Walton plans to introduce low-maintenance car and commercial vehicle batteries, as well as solar and IPS batteries in the future.

Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, CEO of Walton Micro-Tech Corporation, noted that the annual demand for car batteries in Bangladesh is around 500,000 units, with a market size exceeding Tk 300 crore. To meet this promising demand, Walton’s R&D team has been researching car batteries for several years, leading to the launch of these seven models. The production process ensures 100% quality control. Currently, Walton also produces and markets a wide range of internationally standard batteries, including batteries for cars and motorcycles, rechargeable fans, online UPS, emergency lights, and small batteries.

During the event, Abdullah Al Asif, Business Coordinator to the CEO of Walton Micro-Tech, and Nahid Al Mahmud, Chief Engineer of Walton Battery’s Research and Innovation (R&I) Division, presented detailed insights into the production process, features, quality, and technical aspects of Graviton batteries.

They highlighted that the key features of Graviton batteries are durability, long life, maximum cranking performance, and consistent performance in all weather conditions. The production process follows Japanese standards to ensure the highest quality.
