
The country’s most anticipated professional gathering for the marketing community, Maggi Presents Food & Beverage Marketing Fest 5.0, was successfully held at the Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel. Organized by Brand Practitioners Bangladesh (BPB), the fest brought together over 300 professionals, 25 renowned speakers and eight power-packed sessions focused on innovation, consumer trends, compliance, leadership and collaboration in Bangladesh’s evolving food and beverage industry.
Celebrating its fifth edition under the theme “Innovation Nourishes Growth”, the fest has become a signature platform for marketing professionals. Since its inception in 2014, BPB has grown into the country’s largest marketing entity empowering professionals through initiatives such as BrandTalk, Business Brillianz, CMO Bangladesh, CoffeeCon, BrandFluencers, Inter-University Marketing Debate Fest and other transformative programs.

The event was inaugurated by Mirza Muhammad Ileush, Founder and Managing Director of Brand Practitioners Bangladesh, who shared how continuous collaboration, market understanding and creative innovation are transforming Bangladesh’s marketing landscape in line with this year’s theme.

The day began with the opening session “The Market We Serve: Current Realities and Future Prospects of Food & Beverage”, moderated by Md. Wakid Haidar, Senior Group Product Manager, Marketing, Savoy Ice Cream Factory Limited. The panel featured Mahbub Hussain Shajib (Akij Flour Mills Ltd), Mohammad Anisul Islam (Pandamart, Foodpanda), Mortuza Ahmed (Meena Bazar), Md. Tasbee Mahbub (Food Marketing Practitioner) and Rajib Saha (Kazi Food Industries Ltd) who discussed current consumer realities and the future direction of Bangladesh’s food industry.

The Compliance Panel titled “Safe Food, Strong Brands: Building Consumer Confidence through Standards” featured Riashad Jaman (Nestlé Bangladesh PLC), SM Abu Sayed (BSTI) and Md. Imrul Hasan (Food Safety in Bangladesh). The discussion emphasized how food safety and compliance serve as the backbone of consumer trust and sustainable brand reputation.

In the Keynote Session “How Purpose-Driven Innovation Builds Sustainable Value” Surayya Siddiqua, Director, Sales & Marketing, Grameen Danone Foods Limited, shared her experience on how purpose-led innovation can create meaningful and long-term impact in the food ecosystem through responsible business growth.

The CXO Panel “From Disruption to Expansion: The Pathway for Food & Beverage Growth” moderated by Dr. Rafiuddin Ahmed, Professor and Director, NSU Social Business Centre, brought together Mohammad Mofassel Haque (Business Director, T.K. Group), Ruhina Halim (Partner, Quantum Consumer Solutions Ltd) and AKM Zabed (COO, Dekko Foods Ltd). The discussion explored how adaptability and visionary leadership drive growth in times of market transformation.

Syed Iqbal Mahmud Hossain, Sales Director, Nestlé Bangladesh PLC, led an inspiring insight session titled “Driving Growth through Innovation as One GD Team” sharing how collaboration, empowerment and collective innovation are reshaping growth culture in Bangladesh’s food sector.

The MDs’ Panel “Empowering Evolution, Ensuring Growth: The MDs’ Perspective on Bangladesh’s Food & Beverage Industry” featured Md. Naharul Islam Molla (Unilever Consumer Care Ltd) and Dipesh Nag (Grameen Danone Foods Ltd) with Kazi Mohiuddin (MGI) as moderator. The session explored how leadership, efficiency and consumer trust together build business resilience and long-term sustainability.

The third issue of CMO Bangladesh Magazine was unveiled during the event in the presence of MDs, CXOs, CMOs, brand leaders, program partners, speakers and industry professionals. The latest issue continues to strengthen BPB’s mission to document and celebrate marketing innovation in Bangladesh.

In “Innovative Packaging Excellence in Food Marketing” Syed Apon Ahsan, Director and Chief Belief Officer, Expressions Ltd and General Secretary of AAAB, showcased how design, innovation and consumer insight merge to make packaging one of the most powerful mediums of brand storytelling today.

The final CMO Panel “Navigating Today’s Food & Beverage Market Dynamics with Smarter Strategies” was moderated by Sumaiya Mutiatur Rasul, Head of Communication and Deputy Director (IQAC), United International University and Managing Editor of CMO Bangladesh. The discussion featured Md. Maidul Islam (Akij Food & Beverage Ltd), Mohamad Ibrahim Khalil (T.K. Group), Porni Mazumder (Boss Man Film-Food-Digital), Md. Aktaruzzaman (Nabil Group of Industries) and Abu Obaida Imon (Domino’s Pizza Bangladesh). The panel focused on the future of marketing strategies shaped by creativity, data, consumer empathy and cultural intelligence.

Throughout the sessions the fest reinforced the spirit of collaboration between marketers, business leaders and innovators. Discussions covered emerging innovation ecosystems, changing consumer behavior, digital evolution, compliance challenges and brand-building excellence all aligning with the transformation of Bangladesh’s food marketing landscape.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Brand Practitioners Bangladesh followed by a networking gala dinner attended by industry leaders, agency professionals, entrepreneurs and brand custodians.
