Bata Bangladesh has recorded a strong 20% year-on-year sales growth in the third quarter of 2025 (July–September), driven by solid consumer demand and a diverse product lineup.

However, the footwear giant’s profit margins were squeezed due to increased raw material costs, an unfavorable sales mix, and reduced consumer spending power in the discretionary footwear segment.

To maintain growth momentum, Bata is focusing on new product launches, retail transformation, and expanding its omni-channel presence. Strategic cost optimisation and sourcing efficiency measures are also expected to support profit recovery later this year.

Commenting on the results, Debabrata Mukherjee, Managing Director of Bata Bangladesh, said, “Our consistent growth reflects the deep trust of Bangladeshi consumers in Bata’s commitment to quality and comfort. Despite economic challenges, we remain focused on offering stylish, affordable, and innovative footwear that enhances everyday experiences.”

Bata’s recent focus on its Sneaker, Comfort, and Premium collections has drawn younger, fashion-conscious customers, while enhanced e-commerce and digital platforms continue to expand accessibility nationwide.
