Nestlé Bangladesh has successfully organised a two-day scientific workshop titled “The Gut Nexus”, reaffirming its commitment to advancing nutrition science and sharing evidence-based knowledge with experts and researchers across the country.

The workshop brought together over 250 specialists from diverse fields, offering a dynamic blend of expert-led sessions and hands-on learning focused on the rapidly evolving field of gut microbiome science.

International experts Professor Dr Shaman Rajendrajith from Sri Lanka and Professor Dr Mark A Beninga from the Netherlands delivered in-depth sessions on gut health and functional gastrointestinal disorders, highlighting global research insights.

Adding a local perspective, Professor Dr Md Iqbal Hossain of ICDDR,B discussed the importance of gut-friendly foods and their significance in the context of Bangladeshi dietary habits.

Participants also explored scientific booths showcasing the latest innovations in probiotics and symbiotics, reflecting Nestlé’s continued dedication to driving breakthroughs in nutrition and promoting healthier lifestyles.
