Shahjalal Islami Bank awards scholarships to 500 students

On behalf of Shahjalal Islami Bank, Mohammed Younus presented 500 scholarships to meritorious students from across the country who are facing financial difficulties. Of the 500 scholarship recipients, 100 students were present to receive their cheques at the bank’s corporate head office in Dhaka while the remaining 400 will have the scholarship funds deposited into their bank accounts. The press release also announced that the bank has been providing this scholarship since 2006.

“Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation is committed to helping poor and talented students, even in the current global economic recession. Inshallah, we will be able to extend our helping hands in the near future in the field of cooperation of talented people,” Younus said.

Anwer Hossain Khan and Akkas Uddin Mollah, directors, and Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, managing director, were present.
