Bangladesh Brand Forum Awards the most loved brands of Bangladesh

Bangladesh Brand Forum hosted the 14th edition of its Best Brand Award on Saturday, at the Grand Ballroom of Le Méridien Dhaka. The award is given to the most loved brands of Bangladesh, and this year’s ceremony was organized in partnership with Nielsen IQ and in association with The Daily Star.

Bangladesh Brand Forum’s Best Brand Award was established in 2008 with the goal of inspiring the nation. Now, over a decade later, this successive award has become the leading branding recognition in Bangladesh. The award honors the most loved brands in the country and inspires businesses to continue striving for excellence.

The objective of the Best Brand Award is to identify, celebrate and promote the most loved brands of the year that have achieved success through tough and effortful initiatives. On its 14th edition, a total of 38 brands were recognised and placed according to first, second and third in distinct categories.

This year, the Best Brand Award was selected based on a global model (Winning BrandsTM) offered by the partner organisation Nielsen IQ. This year’s process was done through a direct consumer survey of 10,000 customers across the country, which included self-administrated reviews.

In her speech at the inauguration of the gala ceremony, Nazia Andaleeb Preema, director and creative editor of Bangladesh Brand Forum, emphasized the importance of sustainable branded products.

She said, “Our greatest vision as a nation is to obtain the LDC graduation, meet SDG by 2030 and create an Innovative Bangladesh 2041. In order to reach these dynamic and timely peaks, our local brands have to play a critical and profound role. The country is relying on us with utmost faith. And we must be a pioneer at the crossroads for the collective development.”

Asif S M Mahmud, Associate Director, CS, Nielsen IQ, gave a detailed speech describing the Methodology of the Best Brand Award 2022. He explained how local brands dominated the overall top brands of Bangladesh rank this year, with bKash winning the status of the best brand. RFL Houseware and Grameenphone secured second and third places, respectively.
