BGMEA eyes expanding RMG exports to Japan
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has reported that the country’s apparel industry is actively seeking out new and promising markets, such as Japan, and taking advantage of all available opportunities.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan stated, “We are actively engaging in apparel diplomacy and trade missions to discover new opportunities for Bangladesh’s RMG industry and tap into untapped potential.”
On Monday in Dhaka, Faruque had a discussion with Hajime Suzuki, the chief
director of International Sales and Marketing at RX Japan, and Kurena Watabe of RX Japan.
During the exchange of ideas, Faruque made observations about the potential for collaboration between BGMEA and RX Japan to promote communication and trade between businesses in Bangladesh and Japan, specifically within the fashion industry.
As a leading exhibition organizer in Japan, RX Japan plays a key role in connecting businesses and industries.
By participating in apparel exhibitions in Japan, Bangladeshi businessmen would have the chance to demonstrate their strengths and capabilities, while Japanese buyers and investors would have the opportunity to discover their trade potential in Bangladesh, according to the statement.
