Akij Resource Launches State-of-the-Art Flour Mill in Bangladesh

Akij Resource, one of Bangladesh’s leading industrial conglomerates, has launched a state-of-the-art flour mill through its subsidiary, Akij Essentials Ltd. The facility, located in North Noada, Nabiganj Bandar, Narayanganj, was inaugurated on 10 July.

The inauguration ceremony featured Sheikh Jasim Uddin, Managing Director of Akij Resource, who officially opened the mill. The event also saw the attendance of prominent figures from Akij Resource, including Chairman Faria Hossain.

The new flour mill is equipped with cutting-edge machinery and technology from the Swiss company, Buhler, and has a production capacity of 600 tonnes per day. It will produce essential food products such as Atta, Maida, and Suji. The facility includes nine silos with a total capacity of 108,000 tonnes.

In line with Akij Resource’s commitment to innovation, the mill features fully automated processes and advanced laboratories to ensure the highest nutritional quality of wheat. The facility employs three-stage sterilization techniques and continuous gluten monitoring using modern NIR technology.
