Building on the massive success of its debut season, Akij Tableware is back with Art of Plating: Season 2, Bangladesh’s first-ever food plating reality show. This season promises to be bigger and more exciting, aiming to uncover the country’s most skilled food plating artist. The grand winner will walk away with a BDT 10 lakh prize, while the first and second runners-up will receive BDT 5 lakh and BDT 3 lakh, respectively. Additionally, the top 30 contestants will be awarded crests, certificates, culinary courses, and exclusive Akij Tableware dinner sets, contributing to a total prize pool of BDT 20 lakh.
Md. Khorshed Alam, Chief Operating Officer of AkijBashir Group, shared, “The overwhelming response from Season 1 has inspired us to expand the competition and bring together talented plating artists from across Bangladesh. Through this initiative, we aim to showcase the art and storytelling behind food plating on a national and global scale.”

The much-anticipated show will be aired on NTV, Channel i, Deepto TV, and streamed on the OTT platform Chorki. To participate, contestants must submit photos of their best food plating creations via the official website. A panel of renowned chefs will then shortlist the top 30 contestants, who will get the opportunity to display their skills on national television.
During a press conference on February 4, 2025, at a prestigious hotel, Chef Daniel C. Gomez (Chief Judge), Md. Shahriar Zaman (Head of Marketing, AkijBashir Group), and Md. Khorshed Alam shared exclusive insights into the upcoming season. They emphasized the show’s mission to elevate food plating as an art form and provide local talent with a national platform.
