Ali Reza Iftekhar of EBL Receives Kotler CEO of the Year 2023 Award

Ali Reza Iftekhar, the Managing Director and CEO of Eastern Bank Limited (EBL), was honored with the esteemed title of Kotler CEO of the Year 2023 at a grand ceremony held in Dhaka today.

This prestigious award, named after the renowned marketing luminary, Dr. Philip Kotler, acknowledges outstanding marketing campaigns, initiatives, and professionals who have made significant contributions to the marketing and business landscape of Bangladesh.

The Kotler Awards, a highly regarded event in Bangladesh, was officially launched during the Modern Marketing Summit 2023, which took place at Sheraton Dhaka. The gala night was organized by Northern Education Group and powered by Kotler Impact Inc., a leading marketing consultancy firm, in collaboration with The Daily Star.

Expressing his gratitude upon receiving the award, Ali Reza Iftekhar stated, “I am truly honored to accept this esteemed CEO of the Year award and deeply humbled by the recognition it brings. With a remarkable career spanning 37 years in the banking sector, Ali Reza Iftekhar has been serving as the Managing Director and CEO of EBL since 2007. He also served as the President of the Association of Bankers Bangladesh (ABB) for two terms, from 2014-15 and 2020-21.
