All BRTA fee payments now hassle-free through Nagad

Nagad has teamed up with Computer Network Systems Limited, the digital payment service provider of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), to offer a hassle-free payment experience for all BRTA services.

According to a recent press release, customers can now pay for services like motor vehicle registration, driving license issuance and renewal, transfer of ownership, digital registration certificates, motor vehicle fitness renewal, tax tokens, and route permits from the comfort of their homes. The need to physically visit banks or BRTA-designated locations for fee payments is eliminated.

The process is simple: Customers logging into the BRTA service portal can select their desired services from the menu bar, enter their NID number and date of birth, and proceed to the payment confirmation window. At this stage, they will have a comprehensive view of the inserted information for verification. To complete the transaction, customers choose the Nagad payment gateway and provide their Nagad account number. The payment will then be finalized with a one-time password (OTP) and Nagad PIN.

Upon successful payment, customers receive an E-receipt in the Nagad payment system, which they can present at their convenience to collect the original receipts from banks or BRTA-designated locations, avoiding long queues and waiting times.

A minor convenience charge of 1.5 percent is applicable for paying BRTA fees through Nagad, payable at the time of processing the payment. In case of any issues, the dedicated BRTA hotline number (16107 or 09610 990 998) is available for customer support from Sunday to Thursday, between 9 am and 4 pm.

Additionally, salaries for educational institutions, insurance premiums, loan installments, credit card bills, and more can be paid using Nagad’s mobile financial service.
