According to the National Hygiene Survey 2018, only 29 percent of women in Bangladesh use sanitary pads. This means that the remaining 71 percent still do not use them. Using unhygienic clothes during menstruation can lead to cervical infections. Moreover, unhygienic practices during menstruation can result in serious issues such as infertility and even cancer in the long term, as highlighted in a press release.
Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), a prominent conglomerate in Bangladesh, has introduced ‘Fresh Anonna’ sanitary napkins at an affordable price to ensure menstrual hygiene for women across all socioeconomic backgrounds in Bangladesh.
Upon entering the market, Fresh Anonna took the initiative to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene among underprivileged women throughout Bangladesh.

As part of this initiative, ‘Fresh Anonna’ sanitary napkins have been installed in a unique vending machine for female students at Al-Haj Noor Miah University College in Kankapait, Chauddagram, Cumilla on Sunday, 11 February.
Female students can purchase Fresh Anonna sanitary napkins at a special price from the vending machine. The vending machine installation program was attended by Al-Haj Noor Miah University College Principal Shahnaj Akhter Lovely, Vice Principal Muhammad Mohibullah, MGI officials, and female students.
