On 15 September 2024, the biscuit brand ‘Bakeman’s,’ a part of Akij Insaf Group, has stepped forward to support flood victims as part of its ongoing rehabilitation program. In a show of solidarity, officials from Akij Insaf Group have donated one day’s salary to the Chief Adviser’s Relief Fund.

Bakeman’s has consistently been a supportive presence during critical times in Bangladesh, and this recent initiative continues that legacy.

As part of the ‘Moment Now Beside Flood Victims’ campaign, Bakeman’s has been distributing dry food to flood-affected people in remote areas of Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, and Comilla over the past 10 days. This initiative is a continuation of the brand’s commitment to standing by the country during times of need.

Bakeman’s has a history of supporting various humanitarian causes. During past anti-discrimination student protests, the company launched its ‘Now is the Time to Stand By’ campaign, which provided emergency ambulance and medical services to those in need. Additionally, Bakeman’s aided flood victims in Sylhet’s Sunamganj and Chatak areas in 2022. Their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, under the initiative ‘Bakeman’s Corona Warriors,’ were also widely praised for providing emergency ambulance services and medical assistance.
