Bangladesh CNG Association donates relief for earthquake victims in Turkey

Bangladesh CNG Filling Station & Conversion Workshop Owners Association has donated relief for victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey.

On Sunday, the General Secretary of Bangladesh CNG Association, Farhan Nur, led a delegation that presented relief worth Tk50.81 lakh to the representative of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) at their office in Dhaka.

The relief goods consisted of 3900 long jackets, 1000 sleeping bags, 33 large tents, 35 medium tents, 17 generators, and 20 room heaters.

These items will be distributed among the victims of the earthquake that hit southern and central Turkey, as well as northern and western Syria on 6 February 2023.

According to Al Jazeera news, the earthquake has claimed around 44,000 lives as of 17 February, and rescue and recovery efforts are ongoing.

The Bangladesh CNG Association is a platform for owners of CNG filling stations and conversion workshops who have approximately 500 stations across the country and sell around 5% of the country’s total natural gas.
