Bank Asia celebrates 9th anniversary of its agent banking
On Sunday, Bank Asia Limited marked the 9th anniversary of its agent banking operations at its corporate office, Rangs Tower in Purana Paltan, Dhaka. Chairman of Bank Asia, Romo Rouf Chowdhury, officially kicked off the celebration by cutting a cake alongside the bank’s board of directors, according to a press release.
The following individuals were present at the occasion: Rumee A Hossain, the chairman of the executive committee of the bank’s board, Dilwar H Choudhury, the chairman of the audit committee of the board, Tania Nusrat Zaman, Ashraful Haq Chowdhury, Md Abul Quasem, directors, and Adil Chowdhury, the bank’s president and managing director.
Also in attendance were Shafiuzzaman, an additional managing director, Mohammad Ziaul Hasan Molla, the deputy managing director of CAMLCO and head of channel banking, as well as SM Iqbal Hossain and Alamgir Hossain, both deputy managing directors, along with other high-ranking officials from the bank.
In addition to the managing director, Shafiuzzaman, the following high-ranking officials from the bank were present at the meeting: Mohammad Ziaul Hasan Molla, the deputy managing director of CAMLCO and head of channel banking, SM Iqbal Hossain and Alamgir Hossain, both deputy managing directors, and other officials.
Bank Asia, the leader in introducing agent banking in Bangladesh, launched its service on January 17, 2014 with the goal of supporting financial inclusion efforts by increasing access to banking for individuals who were previously unbanked throughout the country.
