Bashundhara Cement has signed an exclusive agreement to supply cement for three significant projects: SASEC-II, Wicare, and STRIP. The deal was formalized on Saturday, 6th July, 2024 between Bashundhara Cement and the renowned construction company Abdul Monem Limited.
The signing ceremony, held at a prestigious hotel in the city, saw KM Zahid Uddin, Deputy Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Cement Sector, and ASM Moinuddin Monem, Managing Director of Abdul Monem Limited, finalize the agreement. The contract was directly signed by IRKM Salahuddin Biswas, Deputy General Manager (Cement Sector) and Colonel (Retd.) Md. Alamgir Kabir.
Under this agreement, Bashundhara Cement will supply over 300,000 metric tonnes of cement. The cement will be produced using the country’s largest and most advanced Vertical Roller Mill (VRM) technology, ensuring high production capacity and superior quality.

Notable attendees from Bashundhara Group included Senior Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Chief Financial Officer Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Chief Sales Officer Shah Jamal Shikder, Head of HR & Admin Imran-bin-Ferdous, and Head of Marketing Mohammad Alauddin.
Bashundhara Cement’s involvement in other national mega projects like the Padma Bridge, Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, and Metrorail further underscores its contribution to Bangladesh’s infrastructure development.
