Berger Paints Bangladesh Honors Winners of the 28th Young Painters' Art Competition

Berger Paints Bangladesh  celebrated the prize distribution ceremony of the 28th Berger Young Painters’ Art Competition at the Gulshan Club in Dhaka. This competition, hosted by Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd since 1996, is designed to recognize and promote emerging painters in the country.

The first-place award in this year’s competition was won by Md Imtiaj Islam for his outstanding artwork titled “Journey by Bus”. The second and third places were claimed by Md Ashraful Alam and Ariful Islam Bachchu, respectively. Additionally, Ahsana Nasreen Hoque Angona, Rakib Shanto, and Sahadeb Biswas secured the fourth, fifth, and sixth positions in the competition.

Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd, expressed her appreciation for the impressive paintings submitted by young artists each year. She believes that these young artists, with their bold strokes of creativity, provide a source of inspiration for society. Their art reflects a celebration of life.

The competition’s judges included Prof. Nisar Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Dhaka, who also served as the chairperson of the jury. Other judges were Asmita Alam Shammy, chairperson of the Department of Printmaking; Prof. Mohammad Iqbal Ali, chairperson of the Department of Drawing and Painting; Md Jahangir Hossain, chairperson of the Department of Craft; Najmun Nahar Keya, Assistant Professor of Fine Arts (Drawing and Illustration) at Jagannath University; and Md Maidul Islam Khan, Assistant Professor of the Department of Fine Arts at the Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology.

Tanzeen Ferdous Alam, Chief Marketing Officer of Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd, also attended the event to honor the young painters and their outstanding achievements.
