bKash has once again received recognition from the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for being the highest Value Added Tax (VAT) contributor in the service sector for the fiscal year 2021-22.
At a ceremony held at the NBR building, Kamal Quadir, CEO of bKash, accepted the letter of honour and crest from prominent officials including the Chairman of NBR, Tapan Kanti Ghosh from the Ministry of Commerce, Dr. Md. Sahidul Islam from NBR, and Mahbubul Alam, President of FBCCI. Moinuddin Mohammed Rahgir, CFO of bKash, and other senior officials of the organizaation were also present.
Expressing gratitude for this recognition, Kamal Quadir mentioned, “bKash has been dedicated to providing compliant, secure, and convenient digital financial and payment services under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank for over a decade. Every year on December 10, NBR celebrates National VAT Day and acknowledges the highest VAT contributors across different sectors. The recognition is awarded to organizations that possess an Electronic Business Identification Number (eBIN), issue VAT slips to consumers, and diligently pay VAT to the national exchequer.
