City Bank Plc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as a team member of Corporate Affairs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the Bank’s corporate communications, managing award pitches, and driving the execution of sustainability and CSR initiatives in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive corporate communication strategies to enhance the bank’s brand visibility and reputation.
- Draft corporate presentation, speeches, and other communication materials to effectively convey key messages to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure consistency and accuracy in all external communications.
- Identify relevant industry awards and prepare compelling submissions showcasing the bank’s achievements and contributions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary data and evidence to support award nominations.
- Monitor award deadlines and manage the submission process from start to finish.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, industry associations, and media outlets.
- Identify potential partnership opportunities aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and oversee their implementation to drive mutual benefits.
- Lead the development and implementation of sustainability and CSR initiatives in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into business strategies and operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of sustainability and CSR programs, and report on progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear and persuasive messages for various audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in managing award submissions and securing recognition for organizational achievements.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles and CSR best practices, with experience in developing and implementing related initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines related to corporate communications, sustainability, and CSR is an advantage.
