Daraz Bangladesh celebrates the spirit of woman empowerment
11 female entrepreneurs get exclusive opportunity to showcase their products.
On March 8th, 2022, Daraz Bangladesh celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) by holding employee engagement programs in all of its offices across the country.
Daraz Bangladesh aims to promote the key message of this year’s IWD theme “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow” by giving 11 women entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their products at Daraz Bangladesh Headquarters in Banani, Tejgaon Sorting Center and Dhanmondi Customer Service Center.
Entrepreneurs, including Barbara Bangladesh, Time Sense Bangladesh, Your Perfect Space, Urusarfa, CUMIN, Konya, Blush Me, Cake Walkers, Afra Trading, Fit Food and Ankon, participated in the IWD Daraz program, offering a variety of products such as clothing. , home decorations, snacks and dry foods.
Ismat Zerin Khan, Legal & Policy Director of Daraz, stated that “women entrepreneurs often face challenges in obtaining significant customer engagement, even with high-quality products and a positive attitude. This lack of visibility reduces their enthusiasm and hinders the potential of women’s empowerment through Daraz. That’s why we made this IWD an opportunity to empower women entrepreneurs by giving them a better platform.”
Prize partners Daraz, FOGG, Rongon Herbals, Zyan & Myza, Wazih Organics, and Ribana help participating entrepreneurs feel more energized. Daraz also decorated his office and gave his website and app a special makeover to emphasize the importance of IWD.
