Dr. Maliha Mannan Ahmed appointed as Vice-President of Bangladesh-India Business Council (BIBC)
Dr. Maliha Mannan Ahmed, the Director of Gemcon Group and founder of Organikare, has been appointed as the new Vice-President of Bangladesh-India Business Council (BIBC), a bilateral chamber of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (WICCI). Previously a general member of the organization, the announcement was made at an event hosted by BIBC at India House in the capital, marking National Independence Day and International Women’s Day.
During the event, three women entrepreneurs, Nahid Mahtab, Mifra Zaheer, and Tasneem Sinha were also announced as new members of BIBC. The Agriculture Minister, Dr. Md Abdur Razzaque, was present as the chief guest, and other notable attendees included Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Vikram Kumar Doraiswami, Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP and Vice-Chairman of Gemcon Group, Naeem Razzaq, MP, and Mantasha Ahmed, President of BIBC.
Additionally, earlier in the day, the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and BIBC signed an MoU. As per the agreement, BIBC’s member entrepreneurs will mentor ULAB’s women students.
