Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) and Grameenphone recently signed a strategic alliance agreement at GP House in Dhaka. The agreement was signed by M Khorshed Anowar, DMD and Head of Retail and SME Banking at EBL, and Asif Naimur Rashid, CBO of Grameenphone, on behalf of their respective organizations, according to a press release.
As part of the agreement, Grameenphone will provide ICT services and solutions to EBL, supporting the expansion of future ICT initiatives and the automation of the bank, particularly focusing on the SkyBanking App.

The signing event included the presence of Tasnim Hussain, Head of Cards at EBL, Amin Md. Mehedi Hasan, Head of Digital Banking, Sanjit Dutta, Head of Technology Development and Transaction, Md. Ariful Hoque, Head of Products and Projects – Digital Banking, Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain, Unit Head of Projects and Market Communications, along with Arvid Chowdhury, Head of Product Partnership and Operations, Nurul Ferdous Musanna, Head of Government and Strategic Business, S. M Zahadul Arafin, Head of Emerging Accounts, Md. Rajib Khan, Head of Large3, and Sougata Biswas, Head of Emerging Dhaka North from Grameenphone, among others.
