Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) received the prestigious Most Innovative Partner award from ShareTrip, the leading Travel Assistant Company in the country.
This recognition acknowledges EBL’s role as an innovative support system for ShareTrip, as highlighted in their press release.
During the celebration of ShareTrip’s 4th anniversary at a city hotel, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, presented the award trophy to Faisal M Fathe-ul Islam, EBL’s head of M-Commerce and E-Commerce. The event was graced by notable figures like Md Shamsul Arefin, secretary of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division; Sami Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Startup Bangladesh Ltd; and Sadia Haque, co-founder and CEO of Sharetrip.

ShareTrip has been utilizing EBL Skypay as its primary payment gateway since its inception. This year, EBL and ShareTrip introduced the Travel Credit Card, branded as “SkyTrip,” offering exciting benefits to travel enthusiasts in Bangladesh. The launch of STPay marks a new collaboration between EBL and ShareTrip, introducing services such as Add Money, Send Money, Money Requests, Bank Transfer, Transaction History, and Make Payments, opening up new avenues for customers.
