EBL Launches Enhanced Skybanking App with Advanced Features and Security
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has launched their upgraded mobile banking app- EBL Skybanking, with new features, better user experience and robust security. EBL Skybanking app is available on the Play Store and App Store from July 5, 2024.
Along with senior officials from Fintech, Telecommunications, MFS, Payment Schemes, and Technology partners, Ali Reza Iftekhar, EBL’s Managing Director, introduced the new app at a ceremony at the bank’s head office in Gulshan. Attendees included Additional Managing Director Ahmed Shaheen, Deputy Managing Director M. Khorshed Anowar, Head of Digital Financial Services Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, and Head of Digital Banking Amin Md. Mehedi Hasan.
The event showcased the app’s easy-to-use features and strong security. A video introduced celebrity couple Shayan Chowdhury Arnob and Sunidhi Nayak as the new faces of EBL Skybanking.

The new app allows NRBs to open local and offshore accounts using overseas mobile numbers. It offers over 150 services, including real-time account management, instant fund transfers, bill payments, and biometric authentication. With over 500,000 users and daily transactions averaging over BDT 60 crore, the EBL Skybanking app provides a seamless and secure banking experience.
