eGeneration offers tech solutions for digital health services
eGeneration Limited, a leading technology solutions and system integration company in Bangladesh, has been actively providing crucial technical support for the government’s initiative to deliver digital health services directly to people’s doorsteps. Their assistance includes the development of hospital management solutions to advance the vision of a Smart Bangladesh and implement the government’s Vision-2041, as stated in a press release.
Collaborating with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and the Bangladesh Computer Council under the Department of Information and Communication Technology, eGeneration is committed to ensuring digital healthcare throughout the country.
Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital (SOMCH) stands at the forefront of the digital transformation of service delivery and reception, playing a pivotal role in the ambitious mission of providing digital health services. Under the supervision of the Department of Information and Communication Technology, the Phase-1 User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the “Health Service Management System” software was initiated at SOMCH as part of the “Digital Sylhet City” project by the Bangladesh Computer Council. The training of Master Trainers for the system was inaugurated on May 28 in the Training Room of SOMCH.
Dr. Soumitra Chakraborty, the Acting Director of SOMCH, graced the occasion as the chief guest, with Mohammad Mohidur Rahman Khan, the Project Director of Digital Sylhet City, presiding over the event. Abul Kalam Azad, Assistant Director of Administration at SOMCH, and SM Ashraful Islam, Chairman of eGeneration Limited and former Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council, were present as special guests.
In a congratulatory message, Brigadier General Mahabubur Rahman Bhuiyan, the Director of SOMCH, emphasized the importance of delivering digital healthcare services to transform the country into a SMART nation. He expressed hope that the commencement of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and training at SOMCH would open doors to digital healthcare services for all citizens, providing better access to healthcare across the country.

During his speech, Dr. Soumitra Chakraborty, the Acting Director of SOMCH, hailed the day as a historic milestone for the hospital, marking its contribution to building a Smart Bangladesh. He expressed his belief that participants in the training program would enhance their skills and actively contribute to the journey of creating a Smart Bangladesh.
SM Ashraful Islam, Chairman of eGeneration Limited, highlighted that the software was developed using internationally recognized standards of health service management and microservice architecture, incorporating the expertise and experience of local and global experts. This project aims to revolutionize the healthcare system in Bangladesh by embracing cutting-edge technology.
