Fly Dhaka Airlines, a newcomer to the country’s aviation industry, is scheduled to begin operations by November this year.
“Prioritizing the paramount importance of safe travel combined with affordability, the airline has already secured its aircraft and is actively addressing various relevant matters related to the acquisition of the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC),” stated a press release today.
With aspirations to expand its presence across Bangladeshi airspace in 2024, the private carrier is diligently progressing through the personnel recruitment process.
Lt Gen (retd) Molla Fazle Akbar, Chief Executive Officer of the airline, commented, “Fly Dhaka Airlines is dedicated to earnestly pursuing this vision, thus contributing to the enhancement of the aviation sector in Bangladesh.

“Our goal is not only to establish a strong presence in the domestic market but also to extend our reach to the global arena. Negotiations with a major Asian airline are already underway,” he added.
Anchored by the ethos of “Connecting Dreams, Uniting Destinations,” the workforce of Fly Dhaka Airlines is steadfastly committed to realizing this vision.
The airline plans to initiate operations on domestic routes using state-of-the-art ATR 72-600 model aircraft.
Subsequently, for international services, Fly Dhaka Airlines intends to introduce Airbus/Boeing aircraft, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability in its global operations.

With Fly Dhaka set to commence operations, the total number of private airlines operating in the country will reach four, joining Novoair, US-Bangla Airlines, and Air Astra.
