To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Grameen HealthTech Limited organized a special discussion titled “Breast Cancer Awareness, Prevention, and Management through Digital Innovation”, highlighting the role of technology and public education in early detection and effective management of breast cancer.

Breast cancer remains one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers among women globally. Experts emphasize that early diagnosis, public awareness, and timely medical intervention are the most effective tools in combating the disease.

The discussion brought together distinguished public health professionals, including Dr. Halida Hanum Akhter, Public Health Specialist and Senior Faculty, Department of International Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; Center for Cancer Care Foundation (CCCF), who discussed the critical importance of early detection.

Dr. Abu Jamil Faisal, Public Health Specialist and Executive Committee Member, highlighted the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle choices, balanced diets, and avoiding tobacco products to reduce cancer risks.

Professor Dr. Shahnaz Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Community Medicine, Bangladesh University of Health Sciences, underscored the need for community awareness and management programs to strengthen prevention efforts at the grassroots level.

The session was moderated by Dr. Hossain Al-Amin, Clinical Manager, Grameen HealthTech Limited, and opened with remarks from the company’s senior management. The event concluded with a closing speech by Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grameen HealthTech Limited.
