Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy.
- Develop, write, edit, and distribute engaging content across various platforms, including publications, press releases, website content, reports, speeches, and marketing materials.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with journalists, manage media databases, and analyze metrics.
- Identify opportunities to enhance brand reputation and coordinate publicity events as required.
- Create compelling content for print and web, including the company website, blog, brochures, and newsletters.
- Plan and execute comprehensive communications strategies.
- Monitor the company’s social media presence and online activities.
- Organize and oversee promotional events.
- Recommend techniques to improve the company’s public image.
- Ensure all promotional and marketing materials align with the company’s brand identity strategy.
- Serve as the main point of contact for media and public inquiries.
- Track analytics and generate reports detailing the success and failures of communications campaigns.
- Ensure all communications and marketing materials adhere to brand standards.
- Maintain digital media archives, including photos and videos.
- Collaborate with the communications team to conceptualize and implement effective communication strategies and campaigns.
- Respond to media inquiries and actively engage in media outreach to secure brand placement in relevant publications.
- Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, if required.
- Respond to questions from employees, company managers, and media outlets.
- Manage contracts and relationships with vendors and business partners.
- Deliver written and verbal communications within designated deadlines.
- Educate staff members on communication processes.
- Develop internal company newsletters for employees, vendors, and business partners.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a marketing or communications position.
- Proficiency in social media best practices, including Facebook, YouTube, Google My Business, etc.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create engaging and accurate content.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent time management skills and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of communications, public relations, and marketing best practices.
- Strategic thinking ability to identify opportunities for improving communication efforts.
- Resourcefulness and self-motivation, even with minimal direction.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, PowerPoint.
- Effective project prioritization and multitasking skills.
- Good public speaking skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
