The recent floods in Bangladesh have resulted in massive devastation, impacting over 5.7 million people and displacing numerous families. Entire communities have been submerged, and many have lost their homes, livelihoods, and belongings.
In response, the resilient people of Bangladesh have mobilized to address immediate relief needs. However, the districts of Feni, Cumilla, Khagrachhari, Noakhali, Chattogram, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, Sylhet, Lakshmipur, and Cox’s Bazar have been severely affected. More than 1.2 million families are facing a shortage of clean water, raising significant health concerns and potential disease outbreaks. Therefore, urgent medical care and support are needed for the affected people.
In light of this, Huawei Bangladesh has partnered with the non-profit organization Obhizatrik Foundation, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and providing substantial funds to support flood-affected individuals with medical camps and housing.

Pan Junfeng, President of Huawei South Asia Region & CEO of Huawei Bangladesh, expressed, “We, the Huawei family, are deeply saddened by the devastating floods in Bangladesh. While we understand that no amount of aid can erase the pain or console those who have lost everything, as a responsible corporate member of this society, we feel compelled to stand alongside the people of Bangladesh in their journey of recovery. With this in mind, we have partnered to provide medical services and rehabilitation to the affected people.”
The donated funds will be used in two phases. Initially, medical camps will be set up in selected flood shelter centers, and medical facilities will be stationed in the affected area. These camps will provide free medical advice, medicines, water purification kits, clean water, and other essential medical support to the victims.
