ISHO Unveils ‘Clayvolution’ Initiative to Combat Single-Use Plastic

ISHO, a prominent champion of sustainable living, has introduced its “Clayvolution” initiative in partnership with Claystation, with the goal of eliminating single-use plastic and raising awareness about the environmental advantages of clay-based goods.

In line with the World Environment Day 2023 theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” the campaign will feature the craftsmanship involved in producing aesthetically pleasing and eco friendly clay items, according to a press release.

From June 1st to June 6th, the “Clayvolution” campaign will be in full swing, culminating in an inclusive event on June 5th. The event will take place on the 9th floor of the ISHO Store in Baridhara and is open to everyone. ISHO’s primary objective is to heighten awareness regarding environmentally friendly alternatives to disposable plastic products. By promoting clay items as sustainable solutions to combat plastic pollution, the campaign strives to encourage individuals to make more conscious choices.

Disposable plastic items like bags, cups, straws, bottles, and styrofoam boxes have a detrimental impact on the environment as they can take decades or even centuries to decompose. This long-lasting presence of plastic waste contributes significantly to environmental harm. In an effort to combat this issue, ISHO advocates for the use of clay products as a means to reduce waste generation and promote eco-friendly alternatives.

Clay products offer a more sustainable choice, as they are biodegradable and do not contribute to the long-term environmental consequences associated with plastic. By embracing clay products, ISHO strives to mitigate the negative effects of plastic pollution and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.

During the event, ISHO and Claystation will introduce a range of innovative co-designed clay products that offer functionality, durability, and a reduced ecological footprint. These products include reusable water bottles, tumblers, and coffee cups.

Rayana Hossain, Founder and Managing Director of ISHO, emphasizes the need to tackle plastic pollution and bring longevity to products. She states, “Through this campaign, we can take a step towards beating plastic pollution and promote the idea of longevity in products.”
