The sixth season of the country’s biggest TV reality show, ‘Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid,’ has commenced, aiming to inspire the new generation to embrace the Bangla language and culture.
Since its inception in 2017, ‘Ispahani Mirzapore,’ a popular tea brand, has organized this competition with the slogan “Banglay Jagi Bharpur,” promoting pure Bengali traditions among youth.
This year, the competition is expanding its reach, extending beyond the borders to include West Bengal, India.
The contest is open to students from grades 6 to 10. Top candidates from preliminary selection tests in eight divisional cities, Comilla, and Kolkata will advance to the main studio rounds, showcasing their proficiency in Bangla.

The competition spans 20 episodes, with the final rounds broadcast on Channel I. Esteemed Bangla language and culture experts will serve as judges, including National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Soumitra Shekhar, renowned fiction writer Anisul Haque, and prominent media personality Tropa Majumder.
Registration began on Thursday and will continue until June 30.

The top contestant in this year’s competition will receive a merit scholarship of Tk10 lakh. Second and third place winners will be awarded scholarships of Tk3 lakh and Tk2 lakh, respectively. Additionally, the top ten contestants will each receive a laptop and a bookcase worth Tk50,000 to build a personal library.
At a press conference on Thursday, Zahida Ispahani and Imad Ispahani, directors of Ispahani Group, were present. Poet Muhammad Nurul Huda, Director General of Bangla Academy, attended as the chief guest, while dramatist Mamunur Rashid was the special guest. The event was presided over by Channel I Director and News Chief Shaikh Siraj, alongside senior officials from Ispahani Tea Limited and Channel I.
