MetLife Bangladesh has introduced a new cashless outpatient service for organizations providing life and health insurance to their employees through MetLife. This service allows employees to access outpatient hospital services without the need for upfront payments at hospital counters.

Outpatient services covered under this initiative include outdoor consultations, prescribed medications, and medical investigations that do not require an overnight hospital stay.

This new service complements the existing cashless hospital admission facility and is set to benefit over 300,000 employees from more than 900 organizations enrolled in MetLife’s employee insurance plans. Additionally, the dependents of these employees are also eligible for these services.

The introduction of cashless outpatient services offers significant benefits. Employees can avoid the immediate financial burden of medical expenses, allowing them to focus on their health and well-being without worrying about costs. This service also streamlines the medical care process, ensuring prompt and efficient treatment.

Ala Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh, commented on the new service, stating, “We want to help our customers focus on their well-being and not worry over expenses when they go to a hospital. This holistic approach to employee insurance will help organizations demonstrate their care for their employees and their families.”
