Microsoft is confident that this integration, along with new AI-enhanced features for its Edge browser, will revolutionize the way users browse the web.

The Edge browser has introduced two new features, “Chat” and “Composed.” These features will be incorporated into the Edge browser’s sidebar. “Chat” enables users to summarize the website or document they are viewing and inquire about its contents, while “Composed” acts as a writing assistant, generating text, including emails and social media posts, based on a few initial inputs.

The updated Bing features a chat start button in its toolbar, leading to a conversational interface similar to ChatGPT. It is important to note that Bing’s ChatGPT bot is more updated and capable of addressing queries regarding more recent events, whereas OpenAI’s ChatGPT bot was only trained using data up until 2021.

The statement follows Microsoft’s recent substantial investment in OpenAI and Google’s introduction of its own ChatGPT competitor, known as Bard.
