Midland Bank achieves PCI DSS compliance certificate

Midland Bank Limited, a fourth-generation private commercial bank in Bangladesh, has received the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance certificate for its card business. A certificate handover ceremony took place on February 12th at the bank’s head office in Dhaka, and was attended by the bank’s CEO, Managing Director, and other top officials.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is a set of security standards that ensures that all parties involved in accepting, processing, storing, or transmitting credit card information maintain a secure environment. Organizations handling cardholder data must comply with the PCI DSS and undergo regular security assessments to ensure continued compliance.

The certificate handover ceremony was attended by the CEO and COO of Enterprise InfoSec Consultants, the bank’s solutions partner, as well as other officials from both Midland Bank and Enterprise InfoSec Consultants.
